Summaries
Welcome to my revamped Summaries page! With the closing down of Mangalator, I decided to start posting monthly summaries and a few images here for some of the manga that I was translating there. Right now I’m going to focus on five manga series from Petit Comic: Totsuzen Desu ga, Ashita Kekkon Shimasu; Zettai Toudo, Koi ni Tsuite Hanasou ka; Midara na Nettaigyo; and Onegai, Sore o Yamenai de. I follow so many series from Petit Comic, so I didn’t want to wait for the tankobons to come out, lol.
I’ll be purchasing Petit Comic monthly from Amazon Japan, so I should hopefully get the magazine around one week after it’s released. The priority order for the chapter summaries is (click on manga title to go to the appropriate summary page):
1) Totsuzen Desu ga, Ashita Kekkon Shimasu (starting with Chapter 17; summaries provided by trans. Thanks trans!)
2) Zettai Toudo (starting with Chapter 4)
3) Koi ni Tsuite Hanasou ka (starting with Chapter 8)
4) Onegai, Sore o Yamenai de (starting with Chapter 6)
5) Midara na Nettaigyo (starting with Chapter 13)
6) Mephistopheles wa Dare? (starting with Chapter 7)
Maybe someday I will try to go back and summarize the earlier chapters of the manga series… but that’s a lot of work, so I’m not going to promise anything, sorry.

Thanks a lot!! I’ve also caved in n ordered Petit 10 haha… I can’t wait to read it when it’s released! Hope that Amazon will ship it out early!

Ahhhhhh thank you for the spoilers for Totsuzen! It just made me wanna read the whole chapter like now but I have to hold back until next month. TTATT
I wanna see Nanami being all jealous and sorts…
On the bright side, I’ll get to read 2 chapters in 1 go so… .( ̵˃﹏˂̵ )
I’m liking how the problem at hand is always “resolved” at the moment but it doesn’t completely go away so I’m waiting for the part where it will build up to a bigger setting.

yw! Thanks to trans for posting the summary so quickly. 🙂 Yeah, it’s so hard to wait, but at least you will get two issues at the same time.
Ryuu has sidestepped Asuka’s questions so many times… I’m waiting for him to man up and answer her, otherwise I guess he will be busted in a big way…

Yea! Nanami needs to muster some courage to fess up the reason for his fear of marriage soon. It doesn’t mean that he needs to overcome it asap but telling it to Asuka will be one HUGE step forward.
I really like Asuka as a character as well! She’s such a strong female lead.
There were many times where she was stumped in this relationship but the way she handles it makes me admire her every single time.

Yeah, Miyazono-sensei has also done a wonderful job with Asuka’s character… she’s seems realistic compared to some of the other cliche josei types (too naive, gullible, never been in a relationship, etc.) 😉

Yeah! I really really like how the author has paced the storyline! 😀 😀 😀 Hope his jealousy will make him dare to take the plunge!!
I know a lot of pple were dissing Nanami on Raffmanga for his dithering, but I feel I can totally understand his fears and POV, so I’m still rooting for him to overcome his missgivings soon!! GO NANAMI GO! Don’t let your misgivings make you lose out on such a great gf!

I agree with you! I think that Miyazono-sensei has done a great job at making Ryuu more realistic by showing his flaws… despite being a good-looking, successful guy who’s had no trouble with attracting women, when it comes to the one woman who really matters to him, he gets confused, jealous, and scared. Although I think it would be better for him to start answering Asuka’s questions soon before he gets busted, but that’s the mangaka’s call, lol

yw! The October issue of Petit Comic will be released on September 8th, so hopefully it will arrive at my house by September 15th. I’ll summarize Totsuzen first. 🙂

I finally got my copies in one go (´；ω；`) (received them this morning)
It was so satisfying to read them chapter after chapter…(*´∀｀*)
About Totsuzen 18, I really like Kamiya as a rival w
Will have to put off shipping Petit for awhile since I won’t have a break in October and November OTZ…(no one will be at home to receive the shipment)
Will be relying on your summaries in the mean time for the next 2 chapters! m(_ _)m
P.S. it is my first time shipping Petit and I was surprised at the quality of the paper used w

Yay, I’m glad you got both copies of the magazine! 🙂 I’m still waiting for my order to arrive on Thursday. trans will be summarizing Totsuzen 18 and hopefully future chapters, so I’ll work on the other manga series. 🙂 Yeah, I think Petit has pretty decent paper quality compared to other magazines?

and since I am following quite a few series, it felt really worth it…I wanna scan them soon…(´∀`) especially those colored pages…

On another note, I wonder if I can ship the Nov and Dec issues to the hotel if I were to be in japan in December…(not decided yet OTZ)

That’s cool you may be going to Japan in December! Why don’t you buy the issues when you are there? I’m pretty sure you can find the previous issues at a used bookstore? Also, keep a separate bag to take back just for manga and other purchases? 🙂 I’m going to Japan next summer and will probably bring back a small suitcase worth of stuff, lol

HAHAAH I totally forgot about the option that I could find 2nd hand issues. Thanks for reminding me. 😅😅 It is still a tentative plan though, nothing’s confirmed yet. I heard from my friend that summer is the season with the most sales. 😂

Hi, I will be working on the translations for Totsuzen Desu ga, since another fansub also requested them. Please understand that they are not my highest priority though, so I don’t have a specific date on when I will finish them. Should I send them to your hotmail address?
