Kiss Yori mo Hayaku (Faster Than a Kiss) raws for Ch 57

The Chinese raws for the last chapter (Chapter 57) are out! Here’s the link to view them: Chapter 57. I can’t read Chinese but it’s nice to see the pictures. 🙂 Some quick comments below (spoilers included):

  • There are several kisses, yes! It seems like Kazuma is making up for all the time he had to wait, lol. (I can’t remember if it was 2 or 3 years?)
  • Fumino is very pretty in her wedding dress. She looks a few years older when she’s calm and serene. After the wedding, she’s back to her aggravated, embarrassed self.
  • Teppei is adorable as always, but he still looks so small… he’s six, right? I thought he would look a little older.
  • The expression that Shoma has when he receives the picture of Fumino on his phone… awww. I haven’t read that far in the manga yet (reading on my own, not the scanlations), but it appears that Shoma has lingering feelings for Fumino.
  • The close-up of their entwined hands with the wedding rings… ohhhhh… maybe they’ve taken it further than kissing?

Thanks, Tanaka-sensei for a wonderful manga series! Otsukaresama deshita! I’m looking forward to her next one. 🙂

Library Wars (Toshokan Sensou) e-manga

I saw on ebookjapan’s website that they have Library Wars now! Yay! Only volumes 1 – 3 are available for now. I’m excited even though I bought the English-version, lol. Although, if the volumes come out faster than the English licensed ones, I might have to switch back to the Japanese version… headache and all (I got a headache from reading the first volume in Japanese and having to look up all the unknown words and kanji). They also have Ayakashi Hisen now (volumes 1 – 2). I already bought volumes 1 – 3 via Sokuyumi though, so I will just stick with that. It’s nice to see a lot of manga being added to ebookjapan. It was a little slow for awhile, but their offerings seemed to have increased again. They release their new e-manga every Friday.

Kiss Yori mo Hayaku is ending (not)

I saw Tanaka-sensei’s tweet that the last chapter of Kiss Yori mo Hayaku will be released in the May issue of LaLa. I stopped getting LaLa last year, so I don’t know what’s happening currently, but I’m sure it’s going to be a happy ending! Can’t wait to read it and also see what Tanaka-sensei is going to do next! This series was the first one I bought in ages. Thank you, Tanaka-sensei, for reviving my interest (ahem, obsession) with manga! 🙂

Updated: I checked the LaLa website and this manga is not ending in the May issue… since it continues on in the June issue, lol. Not sure what Tanaka-san tweeted then. I tried to go back and find this tweet but couldn’t, oh well.

Updated (June 25): As I mentioned on a later post, this manga has ended with the last chapter published in the August issue of LaLa, out yesterday. I can’t wait to see the ending!

Library Wars, Volume 8, spoiler

Couldn’t resist finding out what’s going to happen in Volume 8, so I checked out a couple of Japanese sites. It looks like Iku is finally going to learn about her prince! Finally!! Can’t wait to see the reactions and expressions from all the characters. September, please come soon… lol.

Black Bird and Vampire Knight

I started reading the first volume of Black Bird (Japanese) and it’s not too hard to read. Vampire Knight looks to be about the same, based on the raws that I’ve seen. So, adding them to my ever growing list of manga to buy, lol. On average, I’m trying to budget for $50/month. Although I went a little overboard the last two months and spent closer to $100/month… eeek!

Toshokan Sensou (Library Wars): Love & War

So… I broke down and ended up buying the first four volumes of Toshokan Sensou: Love & War in English via Amazon… they’re included in the “buy three, get the fourth one free” special. Yay! I was planning to get the Japanese version, but decided to get the English one instead after getting the Japanese raws for volume 1 and trying to read them (I did read most of the volume but had to look up so many words, my brain hurts). *sigh* I am somewhat disappointed in myself for giving up on the Japanese version, but I really want to read the manga and I don’t think I will enjoy it that much if my head hurts when I read it, lol. Oh well, I guess I will stick with the standard shoujo/josei romance stories for Japanese practice… they’re easy enough to read. Debating on what to do about Vampire Knight and Black Bird… English or Japanese? I already bought one volume of Black Bird (e-manga) in Japanese but haven’t tried to read it yet… guess I will decide after that.
